Best Dressed at the IIFA Awards 2017

New York City greets the stars of Bollywood with glorious rays of sunshine, as they step onto the Green Carpet for the 18th IIFA Awards.

The best of Western and Eastern fashion styles come together for this prestigious film event, creating a visual feast that will remain the talk of B-town for many years to come.

As always, there are a few pleasant surprises as well as unfortunate fashion misses.

Best Dressed Women

1. Preity Zinta

Accompanied by husband Gene Goodenough, Preity channels timeless glamour in a black mermaid gown and extravagant jewellery that is only fit for a Bollywood royalty.

2. Kanika Kapoor

Kanika Kapoor in emerald green is like a dream, contrasting with her porcelain skin and soft makeup. Even without a big princess gown, she looks effortlessly breathtaking.

3. Alia Bhatt

This gorgeous girl can do no wrong. Alia’s IIFA 2017 fashion has been truly exceptional. While she donned a custom Manish Malhotra outfit for IIFA Rocks, she channels princess vibes with this sparkly silver and grey Zuhair Murad gown.

4. Katrina Kaif

The birthday girl is undoubtedly another showstopper at this year’s Green Carpet, enchanting her fans in a spectacular frosty blue gown from Ziad Nakad’s ‘Snow Crystal Collection’. We love how she complements the couture gown with a pale pink lipstick hue.

5. Disha Patani

This B-town bombshell is slaying it in a sparkly gown with a thigh-high slit. Stepping into a pair of silver strappy heels, Disha captivates our attention like none other. Nominated for Best Supporting Actress, she has everything to become the next big thing in Bollywood.

Worst Dressed Women

South Indian star Taapsee Pannu looks understated with her wardrobe choice, which could have fared better on our list with a more elegant hairdo.

She is joined by Kalki Koechlin, who dons a pink dress with less than flattering ruffles.

Best Dressed Men

1. Anil Kapoor

The 60-year-old superstar sure knows how to pull off a classic look with style and sophistication. He looks impeccable in a dark suit, while the slick back hair accentuates a simple and clean look.

2. Shahid Kapoor

The Best Actor nominee celebrated his wedding anniversary with wife Mira Rajput a week ago. The loved-up couple arrive at the Green Carpet in style, with Shahid donning a stylish black and grey ensemble.

3. Armaan Malik

Not only has the talented singer landed his first IIFA nomination, Armaan also steals our hearts in a youthful and handsome three-piece suit. We are loving the 21-year-old’s preference for a bolder style lately, sporting a navy blue checked suit earlier at IIFA Rocks.

4. Karan Johar

KJo is a real standout of the evening. The black and gold colour combination is absolutely striking, while the elaborate crest is clearly a stamp of his distinct personal style.

5. Salman Khan

Tipped to win Best Actor for his incredible performance in Sultan, the Bhai looks sharp and sleek in a black and blue ensemble, sending fans into a frenzy and rightly so!

Worst Dressed Man

There is nothing wrong with Diljit Dosanjh’s outfit, but we are not impressed with a blazer jacket and jeans at the biggest and most glitzy Bollywood event of the year.
