Rail passengers travelling across the Midlands face disruption over the August bank holiday weekend due to major engineering work.
CrossCountry has warned passengers to expect longer journeys, altered services and replacement buses until August 31.
The disruption will particularly affect passengers travelling through Birmingham New Street during the busy bank holiday period.
HS2-related engineering work will close the railway line between Birmingham New Street and Coleshill Parkway.
A new viaduct is being installed at Water Orton in Warwickshire as part of the ongoing HS2 construction programme.
Passengers travelling between Wolverhampton and Stafford will also face disruption on Sunday due to track improvement work.
Replacement buses will operate between Wolverhampton, Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent while the work takes place.
CrossCountry said passengers should expect services to be particularly busy throughout the weekend.
Several major events are taking place across the UK, increasing demand for rail travel.
Thousands of people are expected to travel to and from Reading and Leeds Festivals during the bank holiday weekend.
CrossCountry customer and commercial director Mark Anderson advised passengers to allow extra time for their journeys and encouraged travellers to check the latest travel information before leaving home.

Some services will also require passengers to use rail replacement buses during the engineering work.
CrossCountry has also advised passengers against bringing excessive luggage because trolleys will not be permitted on its services.
The disruption comes as engineering work takes place across several parts of the UK railway network.
CrossCountry said this work, combined with industrial action affecting other operators, could create additional pressure on services.
Those connecting through Birmingham New Street may need to allow additional time for changes or replacement bus services.
The engineering work is part of wider investment in the region’s railway infrastructure.
Patrick Cawley, director of On Network Works for Network Rail and HS2, said the Saltley viaduct replacement was an important stage of the project.
The existing structure is being rebuilt to make way for Britain’s new high-speed railway into Birmingham.
Passengers are being encouraged to plan and check their services before travelling.
With events and engineering works taking place simultaneously, passengers should expect Birmingham’s rail network to be busier than usual.
