Recently, Banita addressed the speculation, stating that she is focusing on her work and not paying attention to the gossip.
Banita said: “There have been so many rumours over the years of who I’ve been dating, and that’s just not. Something that I feel needs energy.
“I’m very mindful of what I’m putting my energy into. And for me, it’s work. The rumours don’t faze me at all. It’s part and parcel of this industry.
“You just can’t pay attention to that outside stuff, otherwise you’re just hurting yourself.”
While the actress did not address the rumoured relationship and breakup, her priority is her career.
Banita Sandhu also shared an exciting update about her plans to do more Hindi films. She recalled meeting a producer who had been trying to contact her for months.
Banita said: “I met a producer now, and he’s like, we wanted to work with you, but we didn’t know where you were. There is this sentiment that I just did these two movies, and I disappeared.”
For the unversed, Banita and AP Dhillon were first linked after their sizzling chemistry in his song ‘With You’ in August 2023.
The music video featured the duo sharing romantic moments—from cosy mirror selfies to intimate dinners.
Banita Sandhu later shared romantic photos with the singer on social media, leaving many fans believing that their relationship was more than a professional one.
Despite her recognition in the music video, she insisted that people did forget about her afterwards:
“With this industry, it’s just so quick-paced and transitory. I think people forget that it takes a long time to shoot a project.
“So, you can’t really be in cinemas or on-screen like every other week.
“But having said that, I think the music video was the first time I was presented in a different way.”
“It was a bit more light-hearted and fun and flowy, whereas all of my other creative work in India has been more serious, where I’m not wearing makeup and it’s been more emotionally intense.
“So, this was like a fun new avatar of me, and I’m so glad it was received so well because I was worried that people were going to be like, ‘Wait, what?’”
