Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma’s wedding is everything that every couple could dream of!
From the wedding invites to the celebrations, every detail of their big day was showered with style and luxury.
Asin revealed the artwork of their invitation cards on Instagram two weeks prior, and they were simply bursting with elegance!
White and gold was the colour theme, with their names beautifully embedded. The invite was held in a white box topped with a custom logo made of their initials.
On January 19, 2016, the 30-year-old actress tied the knot with the co-founder of Micromax, Rahul Sharma, in Delhi.
A Christian wedding ceremony took place in the morning, where Asin donned a Vera Wang gown and her man in an impeccable Tom Ford suit.
A Hindu ceremony followed, which was also kept private. Opting for a Sabyasachi lehenga, Asin looked stunning next to Rahul in a Raghavendra Rathore achkan.
Asin’s engagement ring – a 20-carat solitaire worth Rs. 6 crore – has been the talk of the town as well, alongside the Cartier jewellery she was seen wearing on her big day.
Best man and the couple’s matchmaker, Akshay Kumar, looked dashing too.
The Airlift leading man says: “It was a nice affair. Everything went off very well.
“Asin and Rahul are very private people. Everybody has respected their privacy.
“It was a very simple affair and today they are very happy and I am very happy that I played the Cupid. I hope that they live like this forever.”
The glitzy affair wrapped up with a star-studded party in Four Seasons Hotel and saw the likes of Sushmita Sen, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shilpa Shetty descend on Mumbai in designer outfits.
But the newlyweds were not going to let anyone steal their limelight, as Asin arrived in an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla gown, accompanied by Rahul in a classic black bandhgala.
The previously low-key couple also could not wait to profess their love on social media after their nuptials!
