Aryan Khan is currently gearing up for the release of The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
Making his directorial debut, Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son places an original spin on the Hindi film industry. He has also written the show.
The trailer for the series premiered on September 8, 2025, and promises the audience an energetic yet thought-provoking ride.
In The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Lakshya plays Aasmaan Singh, an aspiring actor.
The trailer begins with a character telling him: “Aasmaan, you must enjoy saying weird things, right?
“Creating a scene everywhere you go.”
Aasmaan replies: “I’m an actor. Creating a scene is my job.”
The trailer goes on to show Aasmaan appearing to gain a footing in the industry.
At star-studded premieres, celebrities including Arjun Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra make appearances.
A stunning Disha Patani also dazzles in a gorgeous red dress.
A news reporter then declares: “And the only thing worse than the movie is debutant Aasmaan Singh’s acting.”
Aasmaan grumbles: “All that sucking up to star kids has given him a lisp.”
The trailer cuts to an interesting scene featuring Aamir Khan and Rajamouli.
Aamir calls Aasmaan to him and asks: “Idli, or Vada Pav?”
A surprised Aasmaan answers: “Vada Pav.”
Aamir scoffs at his response.
In the following scene, playing on the nepotism debates, Aasmaan tells a character: “All I’m saying is, come out of your father’s shadow.
“You’ll know how harsh the world is.”
Panning over a shot of the Dharma Productions building, a voiceover announces: “Nobody makes love stories better than…”
Karan Johar appears in the frame before a grimacing Bobby Deol declares: “This is my daughter’s first film.
“And this is not the launch I want for my daughter.”
Aasmaan is advised to leave Karan’s film before the latter threatens him:
“Get your contract sorted in the next 24 hours, or you’re out of the film.”
Allegedly inspired by Aryan Khan’s real-life arrest in relation to drugs, Aasmaan is then detained for links to the underworld.
Aasmaan despondently says: “I came here to be an actor, but I never thought I’d have to act this much.”
The character is then told: “You will meet a lot of people in the world who will try to bend you to their will.
“And when you’re forced to bow down, then raise your head.
“Look upwards and remember who you are.”
The trailer then shows a series of action-filled stunts and fight scenes.
As the trailer ended, Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo was introduced with someone saying: “Do you know who has come to meet you?
“The Baadshah!”
Shah Rukh finds out when they found out he was coming, somebody else said: “Baadshah, my foot!”
This leads SRK to almost punch the messenger.
Fans reacted positively to the trailer of The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
One viewer commented: “This feels like the next generation’s Luck By Chance.
“From one star kid to another, telling stories about their own world. Can’t wait to see this take.”
Another said: “That Baadshah music of SRK refreshed my memory. Looking amazing though.”
The Ba***ds of Bollywood also features Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Rajat Bedi, and Anya Singh.
Several other celebrities including Suhana Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan are also reported to appear in cameos.
The Ba***ds of Bollywood is scheduled to be released on Netflix on September 18, 2025.
