ZEE5 Global has unveiled its latest original film, Bhagwat, a gripping crime thriller inspired by true events that will stream exclusively on the platform from September 27, 2025.
Produced by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and Dog ‘n’ Bone Pictures, Bhagwat promises a high-stakes battle between truth and deception.
The film weaves suspense, romance, and human drama into a chilling tale of duality.
At the heart of the story is Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat, portrayed by Arshad Warsi, who is tasked with investigating what initially appears to be a routine missing woman’s case.
However, the investigation soon descends into darkness, exposing a disturbing network of deceit, secrets, and suspected trafficking.
The stakes intensify as Bhagwat faces obstacles that test his resolve, morality, and inner strength.
Adding an unexpected twist is the romance between Meera and Sameer, played by Jitendra Kumar.
Sameer, a professor, finds love amid the chaos, creating a striking balance between tenderness and turmoil.
Directed by Akshay Shere, the film sets its haunting narrative against the backdrop of Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh.
The setting amplifies the tension while enhancing the authenticity of its gripping storyline.
For Arshad Warsi, Bhagwat marks a return to an intense role filled with nuance, depth, and emotional gravitas.
