"We are strongly united by the same deeply held ideas and principles."
The new Apple Watch Hermès has taken the world by storm.
Not just for its technological advancements, but for its chic styling and fashionable exterior.
The newest addition to the Apple family comes in collaboration with French luxury label, Hermès.
Each watch is engraved with the Hermès signature, putting their print on this new wave of fashion.
Whilst their previous range of watches have been very much focused on the technological features, the most recent collection is innovatively forward thinking in its styling.
Varying in strap designs, the Single Tour, Double Tour and Cuff look simply chic with their Barenia leather.
Handcrafted in Paris, this may be the most luxurious watch Apple has ever made.
This exclusive collection is offered with both male and female preferences in mind.
For men, the single loose strap is slightly thicker and maintains that strictly stylish look.
For women, the watches are available in four colours – Fauve, Capucine, Bleu Jean and Etain.
And if that isn’t enough to extend the customisation options, the Hermès collection also offers custom-made watch faces to create a truly unique accessory.
Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design officer, says:
“Apple and Hermès make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design.”
Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès’ executive vice president in charge of artistic direction, shares the same vision, saying:
“What more contemporary and relevant expression of this principle could there be than this collaboration with Apple.
“We are strongly united by the same deeply held ideas and principles. I see it as the establishment of an alliance in excellence; like horse and carriage, a perfect team.”
Apple also unveils two new colours for its Apple Watch Sport range – the gorgeous shades of gold and rose gold aluminium. Its lavish aesthetic exterior caters specifically for their female consumers.
Colours currently featured in the Sport collection will still be available, such as silver, grey, and neon shades of pink, blue and green.
Lucky for sport fanatics, they are already available for purchase online and in store, starting at US$349 (£227).
This latest watch also welcomes a free software update to watchOS 2, which will arrive on September 16, 2015.
Apps will run faster, while a number of new communication features (Mail replies, Smart Replies and Digital Touch) will bring a whole set of experience.
Apple is renowned for its simplicity in tech design and branding. The new Hermès line unquestionably adds to their reputation.
With prices ranging from US$1,100 to $1,500 (£712 to 972), this is one of the most expensive watches Apple has created, but definitely the best in terms of their creative flare.
The Apple Watch Hermès will go on sale from October 5, 2015 in 14 countries, including the UK, the US and Australia.
You can expect both the savvy chic and tech geeks to be queueing up for this exciting collaborative piece!
