"I would love to collaborate with you."
Ali Zafar has expressed his desire to work with Shehnaaz Gill, who received fame after her stint on Bigg Boss 13.
The Pakistani heartthrob added that he wishes to star alongside the actress in a music video.
The ‘Dil Karay’ singer revealed it during an interview when the host asked him if he would like to work with the Indian celebrity.
To this, the 42-year-old said: “If Shehnaaz is interested, I would love to collaborate with you on one of my songs.”
Ali Zafar is a recipient of the Pride of Performance award and has worked on several Bollywood music and film projects in the past, including Kil Dil.
The enthusiastic performer launched his career as a music composer and gained popularity with his single ‘Channo’ from his debut album Huqa Pani, which received massive appreciation.
In the interview, Ali Zafar also spoke about Bollywood actors such as Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Kishore Kumar among others.
Ali Zafar, who made his Bollywood debut with the 2010 film Tere Bin Laden, has appeared in nine Hindi films.
Dear Zindagi marked his last Bollywood film.
After the Uri terror attack in September 2016, Pakistani artists were reportedly banned by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena from working in Bollywood.
There were also rumours about Ali being replaced in Dear Zindagi amid the boycott calls, but the film was released with his role intact.
Ali Zafar was also asked if he wants to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan in the Connect FM Canada interview.

Ali appeared to suggest that it would not be favourable for Shah Rukh Khan to work with him in the current political climate.
The singer said: “Yaar abhi philhal to wo mere se na hi collaborate karein. Wahan pe aise hi mushkilein badh jaati hain (He shouldn’t collaborate with me as of now. Difficulties there increase just like that).”
The All Indian Cine Workers Association announced a total ban on Pakistani artists after the Pulwama terror attack in 2019.
The films that were already filmed with Pakistani actors were released, like Dear Zindagi, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Raees among others.
However, these films marked their last Bollywood appearance.
Meanwhile, Shehnaaz Gill is set to debut in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The actor will also be seen 100% alongside John Abraham, Ritesh Deshmukh and Nora Fatehi.
The television star was last seen in the Punjabi film Honsla Rakh alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa.
