Ranveer Singh goes bald for Bajirao Mastani
As PiggyChops recently tweeted and revealed her look for the much hyped movie, Bajirao Mastani, now its Ranveer Singh’s look that is the talk of the town.
The actor has finally gotten rid of his hair for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. Since his character required a bald look, the actor didn’t think even twice and immediately got it done.
The shooting of the periodic drama has started wherein Ranveer plays the warrior Baji Rao. Reports suggest that Ranveer Singh has gone underground as he doesn’t want to be seen around with the new look.
Monika is very impressed with the new breed of B-town actors who are experimenting with their looks to get into the skin of their characters.
Akshay Kumar is ‘Box Office 1000 Crore Hero’
Akshay Kumar has been given the ‘Box Office 1000 Crore Hero’ award at the ‘Star Box Office India Awards’.
It is the first ceremony of its kind to celebrate his collection of over Rs 1000 Crore at the domestic box office over the past five years.
Although an esteemed award to receive, it’s hardly surprising for Akshay to be awarded it, given that films have put him into the 100 Crore Club several times in the past.
‘The Box Office 1000 Crore Hero’ award can be seen as truly indicative of Akshay’s superstar status and the global fan base he has.
Aamir says he owes it all to SRK
The three Khans have unsaid dibs for their film releases on festivals. What Diwali is to SRK, Eid is to Sallu and Xmas is to Aamir.
This time around, Aamir has managed to tag along with the excitement of Happy New Year release and has revealed his upcoming film PK’s theatrical trailer on the same day.
In the past too, when SRK-starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was slated to release, Aamir used his advertising wits and released his film on the same day.
Aamir however said that it is just a coincidence that SRK and his films clash at times. Aamir also stated that by attaching his film’s trailer with SRK’s film, his film definitely will get extra eye balls. That’s a brave confession to make Aamir!
Ranbir-Deepika in Rohit Shetty’s next?
The off-screen Jodi that didn’t last long are in great demand to be seen together on-screen. Apparently, Ranbir and Deepika are in talks for Rohit Shetty’s next film Ram-Lakhan.
A few of Monika’s informers suggest that for the Ram-Lakhan remake, Ranbir will be playing Lakhan and Sidharth Malhotra essaying the role of Ram.
However others say that it’s an entirely different film altogether with Ranbir and Deepika.
There have also been rumours that Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor had been finalised to play the characters of Ram and Lakhan. Now only time will tell who is playing what!
Sidharth-Katrina in a love story
According to the gossip mill, Katrina is all set to romance Sidharth Malhotra on the screen. Said to be a full on romantic film, it is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and will go on the floor in 2015.
Debutant director Nitya Mehra will direct the film and interestingly this is the same script that Aamir Khan had read and absolutely loved. Apparently Aamir was supposed to act in the film but couldn’t due to financial reasons.
Sidharth was recently seen in Ek Villain and Hasee Toh Phasee in a romantic role, while Kat romanced Hrithik in Bang Bang. It’ll be the first time we’ll see this beautiful pairing; the film is bound to have high expectations.
Anushka avoids talking about her engagement
Anushka and Virat just refuse to confess their relationship status. Quite a few times though, the couple has been spotted together on their foreign trips.
However the two refuse to comment over their so called ‘just friends’ status.
Freshly, Monika also heard that Virat and Anushka’s parents met each other, suggesting an official engagement in the near future.
At the P.K theatrical launch, when Anushka was asked about the same, the actress avoided answering it.
Mind you, she didn’t deny it just avoided it. Even after much persuasion by Aamir himself, the question remained unanswered.
