Sarover and Kal connected instantly in the pods.
Love is Blind UK delivered plenty of drama, but few journeys were as compelling as Kal and Sarover’s.
From instant sparks in the pods to heartfelt vows at the altar, their relationship had all the highs and lows of a true reality TV rollercoaster.
The pair weren’t afraid to address cultural challenges and family expectations.
Whether it was navigating nerves with loved ones or sharing emotional declarations on their wedding day, their journey kept audiences hooked.
Here are five moments from Kal and Sarover’s time on the Netflix show.
From Pods to Proposal
Sarover and Kal connected instantly in the pods.
Sarover shared that her previous dating experiences, from apps to family introductions, had mostly failed, including one man lying about his age on a first date.
Kal revealed he had seen seven relationships end before the 12-month mark. Watching his brothers settle down only strengthened his desire for a lasting partnership.
They confronted cultural challenges early on, as Kal is mixed race, half English and half Pakistani, while Sarover is Indian.
Both acknowledged their relationship could face disapproval but hoped it might challenge traditional attitudes.
Their bond deepened, and Kal eventually proposed.
When they met in person, he wore traditional Pakistani attire, called her “princess” and got down on one knee with a ring.
Cyprus Retreat
Once they got engaged, Kal and Sarover travelled to Cyprus so they could spend some time together outside the pods.
They enjoyed their time together but one talking point was when Kal admitted to Sarover that she wasn’t his “usual type”, revealing he tends to date blonde women with blue eyes.
The revelation was something Sarover felt anxious about as she wondered how he’d react to seeing Bardha and Ashleigh in person, who both fit that description.
Nevertheless, they moved past it and continued building their connection.
Although the comment was a cause for concern, their connection developed and they shared a kiss in the pool.
Meeting Sarover’s Family
Following their engagement and Cyprus retreat, Kal and Sarover met each other’s families.
Sarover’s meeting with Kal’s mother and grandmother went smoothly but the gym owner admitted that he was nervous about meeting his partner’s family.
When Sarover’s mother Bali asked what made her daughter unique, Kal said he had never dated a southern girl before and was drawn to her accent, calling it “new and exciting”.
He also spoke of their shared love of fitness and his hopes for children.
Bali questioned if he was ready for marriage, while Sarover’s sister Sharan admitted:
“It has all happened quickly.”
Sarover urged her mother to trust her, saying she was leading with her heart.
After Kal added that their connection was deeper than any he had before, stressing there was no “scientific formula” for marriage.
By the end, Bali admitted Kal had impressed her and gave the couple her blessing.
Tying The Knot
It was a dramatic moment at the altar when Kal ripped up his vows, leaving Sarover briefly panicked.
He reassured her, saying: “It’s all up here.”
Sarover responded: “Oh my God, I was like, wait what? After I just did that (her vows).”
Kal then continued: “I want to do these vows in the same way I spoke to you the first time I saw you. Hands held, eyes locked.
“Before entering this experiment, I had written down all the qualities I wanted in my future wife.”
“Kind, cute, caring, thoughtful, fun, beautiful. You are all those things and so much more. Sarover, my posh pod princess, I love you.”
When it came to the final decision, Sarover immediately said “I do”.
Kal’s mother was heard whispering: “Say yes”, before Kal also confirmed: “I do.” His mum then admitted: “I stopped breathing then.”
Marriage Split
The Love is Blind UK reunion revealed that Kal and Sarover called it quits just three months after marrying.
Explaining why, Sarover told Cosmopolitan UK: “Marriage takes compromise, marriage takes two people together, two people making decisions, two people [that] go through everything together.
“And if I’m going to be honest, Kal didn’t see me as an equal.”
She said she was “blindsided” by the sudden end, adding:
“I can’t have communication with someone that doesn’t respect me.”
Kal admitted: “I just don’t think I’m compatible in a long-term relationship, and it took me to meet on paper the perfect woman to realise that.”
Sarover said she respected his honesty but wished he had figured it out sooner.
