Will Alya Nazir make the right Choice in Coronation Street?

Alya Nazir is set to face a dilemma in Coronation Street. As her morals are tested, will Alya make the right choice?

Coronation Street Star Sair Khan reflects on 'I'm a Celebrity' - F

Taking this case goes against her morals.

Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) is one of the most popular characters in ITV’s Coronation Street.

The character recently returned to the soap after an absence of several months, owing to Sair’s maternity leave.

Upcoming episodes of Coronation Street will show the lawyer Alya tasked with a high-profile case.

This case will involve her defending Matty (Seamus McGoff) who is accused of murdering his brother Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).

The turn of events will trigger a barrage of strong reactions from the residents on the cobbles.

Her boss will take her through the case, convincing her that they can create a strong defence by using Matty’s disadvantaged background.

Alya will be visibly uncomfortable, but she is determined to remain professional.

However, Alya’s discomfort will be increased when Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton) shames her for defending Matty.

Sean’s son, Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) was carrying the knife Matty used to kill Mason.

As a result, Alya confides in Adam Barlow (Sean Robertson) that taking this case goes against her morals.

With pressure mounting on her from every corner of the Street, will Alya make the right choice?

Mason’s brothers Matty and Logan (Harry Lowbrige) swore revenge on them after Mason grassed them up to the police.

The former bully confessed that his brothers were involved in the death of Becky, who was the wife of Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Mason was introduced to the soap as an atrocious bully, who almost drove Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) to suicide.

However, towards the end of his life, Mason became a reformed person, who, despite his evil brothers, tried to do the right thing.

Unsurprisingly, his death caused shockwaves in Coronation Street and as his murder continues to be investigated, questions will arise and fingers will be pointed.

Meanwhile, Sair recently explained her feelings about Alya’s return. She said:

“Alya has definitely had a complete revamp, and I think getting away from the Street, really focusing on her career and where she wants to be, has ignited a new spark in her.

“She’s changed lanes a little bit in terms of her work and what she wants to do, but she’s putting her heart and soul and all of her passion into making her career a success and learning.

“And when she comes back onto the Street, you can tell that she’s been influenced by the place that she’s been working.

“It’s quite corporate, and her look has changed. I think she’s taken the opportunity to be a bit selfish, and I quite like that for her.”
