Mushk Kaleem has stated that she believes the Lux Style Awards should be cancelled.
The model’s outburst came when the nominations were revealed for the 2023 awards ceremony, which is to be held in Karachi.
Mushk caused some confusion on social media when she posted an Instagram Story, showering support on some of the nominees.
In a post dedicated to the makeup artist Arshad Khan and other members of the fashion industry, Mushk posted an image of all the nominations and commented:
“Congratulations are in order for my favourite people. So proud of each and every one of you!”
But in her next story, she called for all fashion awards to be cancelled.
Mushk wrote: “Looking at the Lux Style Awards fashion nominations, at this point, they should just completely cancel all fashion awards.”
Names such as Abeer Asad, Fatima Hasan, Maha Tahirani, Sachal Afzal and Sauban Umais have been nominated for ‘Fashion Model of the Year’.
Aima Baig, Meesha Shafi, Risham Faiz, Taha G and Talha Yunus have been nominated for the ‘Most Stylish Musician of the Year’ award.
Since the announcement of the nominations, many members of the entertainment industry have come forward to share their opinions.
Actor Arslan Naseer has been nominated for his role in Paristan and took to Instagram to share his feelings about the achievement.
Arslan posted: “Thank you for all the love guys.
“You have made an outsider like me, with no contacts whatsoever, survive in this industry. I owe you all big-time.”
Ramsha Khan, Sajal Aly, Aima Baig and Abdullah Siddiqui also celebrated their nominations with celebratory GIFs on their platforms.
Alina Khan was last seen in the controversial release Joyland and has also been nominated for an award.
Addressing her fans, Alina said:
“I’m superbly excited to say that I am a part of the nominations in LSA 2023.
“Thank you to each one of you who voted for me. Without you I am nothing.”
The Lux Style Awards (LSA) is an annual awards ceremony that has been running for over two decades. The 2023 ceremony will be the 22nd edition of the popular awards.
The event is an extravagant affair that is full of glitz and glamour, celebrating talent in several categories which include, fashion, film, music and television.
