Several new Bangladeshi films are set to light up cinemas this Eid-ul-Azha 2025, with a star-studded lineup promising action, drama, and romance.

With theatres still screening hits from Eid-ul-Fitr, anticipation is quickly building for the next festival’s lineup.

As tradition dictates, several major films, boasting big stars and high expectations, are gearing up to dominate the box office this Eid-ul-Azha 2025.

No Eid feels complete without a film featuring Shakib Khan, and this year, the superstar teams up with director Raihan Rafi for Taandob.

The film pairs Shakib with Sabila Nur and includes a special appearance by Jaya Ahsan.

Marketed as an action-thriller, Taandob is already stirring excitement, with fans eager to see Shakib in a high-stakes, suspense-driven role.

Joining the lineup is Insaaf, a film already turning heads with its first-look poster.

Directed by Sanjoy Somadder, the movie stars Mosharraf Karim, Sariful Razz, and Tasnia Farin.

Karim, known for his versatility, hinted at a surprising transformation in the film, saying:

“We want to maintain the surprises surrounding the film. However, the audience will see me in a new light.”

The poster’s viral reception has set high expectations for its release.

Also making headlines is veteran actor Zahid Hasan’s return to the big screen in Utsob, directed by Tanim Noor.

After a significant break from cinema, Hasan is back with what he describes as “a unique story.”

Adding to the festive thrill is Arifin Shuvoo’s comeback in the film NeelChokro, a family-friendly thriller directed by Mithu Khan.

Co-starring rising actress Mondera Chakroborty, the film promises both tension and emotional appeal.

Mondera said: “It’s the kind of story audiences can enjoy together.”

Another strong contender for an Eid release is Esha Murder, led by Azmeri Haque Badhan.

Badhan is known for her powerful performance in Rehana Maryam Noor.

She will take on the role of a police officer in this crime thriller, directed by Sunny Sanwar.

Though its release date is not officially confirmed, all signs suggest an Eid screening.

Rounding out the potential Eid offerings are Tagar, directed by Aalok Hasan and starring Ador Azad and Puja Chery.

Panic, directed by Zahid Jewel, features Shobnom Bubly in a rare antagonist role opposite Ador Azad, adding a unique addition to the lineup.

Eid has always been more than just a religious celebration in Bangladesh – it’s also a prime season for cinematic releases.

While the final list of Bangladeshi films releasing on Eid-ul-Azha 2025 is still in flux, it is already sparking excitement.
