“I'm so looking forward to the release.”
Following on from the success of ‘Jalebi Baby’, Jason Derulo has joined forces with Urvashi Rautela for a second Bollywood collaboration.
Gaurang Doshi is backing this global chartbuster in the making.
Talking about the upcoming track, Gaurang said:
“Why restrict ourselves to only Indian music, why not bring two cultures together and create music that anyone can enjoy, regardless of language or background.
“There have been so many collaborations between two industries which has shown us that people are not only open to hearing new and unique sounds, they want more.
“My partner and brother Rocky Khan is a pillar of strength for me and I am proud to be bridging between our Bollywood talent and the confluence created is unique.
“Our music history has broken all barriers and now pioneering in this music space is an enjoyable experience and especially bringing our talent to work with highly acclaimed artists from the world.”
Ecstatic about the collaboration, Urvashi Rautela said: “Gaurang Doshi and Rocky Khan are creating ripples and the effect has engulfed me too and I’m the lucky one who got this amazing opportunity to work with Jason.
“He was so excited to know about our music and dance, he loved our cinema, and loved his music.
“This was a different experience for me and I’m so glad that I could get to be in the song.”
Exhilarated about the project, Jason Derulo said:
“Bollywood has been intriguing now when I am working with Gaurang, Rocky and Urvashi seems like a good vibe.
“I wanted to know how the dance and colour of the songs translate and my experience with the team is a dream come true.
“I’m so looking forward to the release.”
The mashup song ‘Jalebi Baby’ by Jason Derulo and Tesher became hugely popular on TikTok in 2021.
In an Instagram post, promoting the song, Tesher wrote:
“I can tell you the 2021 song of the summer is literally about an Indian sweet.”
“And that’s got to count for something.
“My goal has always been to bring cultures together and create music that anyone can enjoy, regardless of language or background.
“Seeing ‘Jalebi Baby’ find listeners all over the world has been amazing, as has seeing big Billboard hits that don’t neatly fit into one genre or aren’t completely in English.
“It just shows that people are not only open to hearing new and unique sounds, they crave them.”
