"I am happy that people love me and pray for me.”

Umair Jaswal has recently addressed his divorce and second marriage for the first time, shedding light on his personal journey.

He was married to actress Sana Javed for four years, ending earlier in 2024.

Speculation of divorce arose before that when both parties unfollowed each other on social media and deleted their wedding photos.

The split was officially confirmed in January 2024 when Sana Javed married cricketer Shoaib Malik.

On October 7, 2024, Umair stirred curiosity among his fans by sharing an Instagram post in which he was getting married.

However, he chose not to reveal the identity of his new wife.

The post was met with a warm reception, as fans flooded the comments with best wishes and support.

In a recent television appearance on PTV Home, Umair finally broke his silence about his new marriage.

The singer reflected on his life after the divorce, saying: “I’m really happy.”

He expressed gratitude for the positive changes in his life.

Umair elaborated: “God is incredibly good, and I think He leads us along specific routes for a reason.”

During the interview, he acknowledged the concern expressed by fans and strangers alike during his challenging times.

Umair recalled: “When I think about that time, I remember how people from all around the world reached out to me.

“My supporters weren’t the only ones worried; strangers were also worried. I kept telling them that it was written this way.”

Following his marriage announcement, he received an overwhelming response from his fans, who were genuinely happy for him.

He said: “I am happy that people love me and pray for me.”

While discussing his new marriage, Umair stressed the importance of privacy:

“People are naturally curious about your personal life.

“I would rather be recognised for my accomplishments than my private life.”

He made it clear that he respects his partner’s desire for discretion as they navigate their relationship away from the public eye.

Umair Jaswal is celebrated for his iconic performances, including hits like ‘Charkha No Lakha’ and ‘Sammi Meri Waar’ from Coke Studio.

The singer has also ventured into acting with projects such as Mor Mahal and Yalghaar.

Although he has been away from the music scene recently, his fans eagerly await new songs as he focuses on his personal life.
