"They have created jobs, innovated, broken down barriers"
The 23rd Asian Achievers Awards will take place on September 19, 2025, at Hilton Park Lane, London, and the shortlist has been announced.
Established in 2000, the event is the UK’s most prominent and longstanding celebration of British Asian achievement across multiple fields, including arts, business, politics and community service.
Supported by media partners Asian Voice, Gujarat Samachar and LycaRadio, the Asian Achievers Awards have consistently upheld their reputation as a beacon of excellence and prestige within the community.
Speaking about the 2025 event, Pratik Dattani, Managing Director of EPG, said:
“While Britain faces global economic and political headwinds from multiple sides, South Asians have again shown their resilience and ability to contribute to building the nation.
“They have created jobs, innovated, broken down barriers and enriched the cultural fabric of our country.
“Congratulations to all the shortlist and best of luck for the Awards.”
Categories for 2025 include Business Person of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award and Woman of the Year.
Across all the categories, more than 500 nominations were received and the judges spent a month narrowing them down to the shortlist.
Judges for the awards include Dr Poonam Gupta OBE (CEO, PG Paper), Alison Eddy (Former Regional Managing Partner, Irwin Mitchell LLP), Sunil Mohindra (President, TiE North), Mina Tailor (Senior Manager, UK Customer, Propositions and Marketing, HSBC), Remona Aly (journalist) and Cary Sawhney MBE (film festival director and programmer).
Nearly 600 guests, including celebrities, business leaders and global stars, are expected to attend the awards evening.
Over the last few editions, the net worth of the room has consistently been over £25 billion.
This year’s shortlist reflects the wide range of talent right across the South Asian community in the UK.
