It is the fifth Asian Media Award win for DESIblitz
The 2025 Asian Media Awards (AMA) were held on October 31.
The 13th annual event took place at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
The University of Salford was the premier partner of the Asian Media Awards.
Journalists, writers and bloggers attended the 2025 AMAs, as many were honoured for their work as British South Asians in the UK media industry.
Sky Sports News presenter Bella Shah hosted the event.
With an exciting evening filled with the who’s who from British South Asian media, the 2025 AMAs gave recognition for the hard work and efforts of the nominees for the awards.

The awards were given across a number of key categories that demonstrated the value and importance of Asian media in the UK.
The 2025 AMAs saw Shebz Miah, Romesh Ranganathan and BBC Asian Network win awards for their contribution to British South Asian media.
DESIblitz.com was proud to win ‘Best Blog/Website’.

Producing news and lifestyle content, DESIblitz has elevated into a highly recognised and much-needed publication for the British and South Asian diaspora.
The award was picked up on the night by DESiblitz Managing Director Indi Deol and Video Editor Iman Ahmadi.
It is the fifth Asian Media Award win for DESIblitz, having previously won awards in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2021.

Darshna Soni, of Channel 4 News, was named ‘Journalist of the Year’ while Sky News’ Amrit Singh Mann won ‘Outstanding Young Journalist’.
Diversity and Inclusion Reporter at Sky Sports News, Miriam Walker-Khan, won ‘Sports Journalist of the Year’.
Waseem Mahmood OBE received the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Media’ award for his lifelong dedication, influence, and transformative work across media landscapes.
