Tanin Rahman Subha has passed away after spending eight days on life support at a private hospital in Dhaka.
Doctors declared her dead on June 10, 2025. She was 31 years old.
Tanin had been battling for her life since June 2, when she suddenly fell ill at her home in Aftabnagar.
The actress initially sought treatment at a nearby clinic and returned home after receiving medication.
Her condition deteriorated later that evening, prompting a hospital admission in Banasree.
As her health worsened, she was moved to a facility in Dhanmondi for advanced care.
According to family members, Tanin had experienced chest pains and severe sweating before vomiting multiple times.
Initially believed to be indigestion, her condition rapidly worsened.
She was placed on life support, and her heart continued beating only with machine support.
Despite doctors declaring her clinically dead the day before, her family had not yet consented to removing life support.
They were waiting for her husband, an aircraft pilot, to decide.
Her brother Inzamul Ramin said:
“The doctors said they can’t do anything else. Her heart is working with the help of machines, but her brain has stopped.”
Actress Rumana Islam Mukti confirmed the news of her death to the media, stating that Tanin’s heart had stopped.
She will be laid to rest in her family home in Koyaria, Madaripur.
Tanin is survived by her husband and two daughters.
Before her death, rumours had circulated on social media about her passing, which were denied by the family at the time.
However, her condition remained critical throughout the week.
Tanin Rahman Subha began her career in showbiz through commercials before moving into television dramas and films.
Her debut film was Matir Pori, where she starred alongside Symon Sadik.
The actor shared memories from their time together on set, recalling her warm personality and commitment to her craft.
He wrote on Facebook:
“You were always eager to do good work.”
She had recently signed on for a new project titled Dena Paona, directed by Sadek Siddiqui, and had several films awaiting release.
Actress Shirin Shila paid tribute by posting: “Tanin has left us, may you rest in peace.”
