Renowned Bangladeshi actress Ahona Rahman spoke about her future acting plans.

While speaking at a press conference for her latest project, Probashir Stree, Ahona reflected on her time in the industry.

The actress hinted at her desire to focus on new opportunities, particularly for the emerging talent in the Bengali industry.

Post-production came during a time when the nation was blighted by the devastating flood crisis.

In light of this, the production team and cast chose not to promote the series.

Despite the lack of a promotional campaign, the drama garnered an impressive response.

Ahona Rahman stated that the view count has surpassed five million, and potentially over 10 million when considering all views since its re-upload.

At the press conference, Ahona shared her thoughts on her career:

“If I had the opportunity to start my work life again, I wouldn’t be actress Ahona Rahman.

“I feel like I have spent a lot of time in this field, so now I should consider focusing on something else.”

The actress did not confirm her immediate plans or whether she would fully step away from acting.

However, she emphasised her interest in making space for newcomers in the industry.

Ahona said: “We have so many new talents, and they should be given enough chances.”

She indicated her intention to be more selective with the roles she takes on in the future.

Reflecting on Probashir Stree, Ahona Rahman described it as a project based on a true story that resonated deeply with viewers.

She expressed gratitude for the audience’s support, noting that despite the challenging context of its release, many people engaged with the drama.

Ahona Rahman’s journey in the entertainment industry began with modelling before she made her acting debut in the Bengali drama Choita Pagla.

She transitioned to films with her first feature, Chakorer Prem, in 2008, alongside Amin Khan.

The actress also co-starred with the renowned Shakib Khan in the 2015 film Dui Prithibi.

Since her debut, Ahona Rahman has appeared in numerous Bengali dramas, and her popularity has grown over the years.
