"I am most happy when I am in front of the camera."

Palak Tiwari has spoken about how she handles the pressure of competing with her Bollywood peers.

The Bhootnii star said she focuses on staying grounded as young actresses like Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday carve out their own paths.

In a recent interview, Palak opened up about being compared to her contemporaries, including Suhana and Ananya.

When asked how she navigates the performance pressure, Palak said:

“I try not to take any pressure because pressure acts as a hindrance when you are trying to do your best work.

“Also, I find acting most therapeutic. It has been my childhood dream to be an actor.

“I am most happy when I am in front of the camera. I am content that I am able to fulfil my dreams, so why should I think about anyone else?

“People will talk, and it will come to me later, but that can all be handled. For now, I am happy that I am acting.”

Palak also described how young actors support one another off-camera, especially as they navigate a changing industry.

She said: “Everyone is on their journey.

“Everyone is going through a challenging time because it is hard to make a name for yourself at such a young age.

“We are all finding ourselves as performers, even Bollywood is reshaping its future, but I am sure we will figure it out.”

Palak Tiwari is the daughter of TV star Shweta Tiwari and while many had labelled her a star kid, she previously stated that she was unsure where she stood.

“I was somewhere in this middle ground. I was like, ‘Oh these people are calling me a star kid, but I’m not really a star kid. But also, I’m not a normal person who’s auditioning in Andheri’.

“So, there was this privilege but not enough of it; there was also normalcy, but not enough of it too.

“It was very tough to find my place. In many ways, it was a privilege, but in many ways, I was typecast instantly. I did struggle with that, but I’m still trying to find my place.”

On the work front, Palak was last seen in Bhootnii, which featured an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Aasif Khan, and Beyounick.
