Sreejita De shared pictures from her stunning wedding ceremony in Germany.
She and longtime partner Michael Blohm-Pape had a white wedding, which was officiated in a gorgeous church in Hamburg.
Facing the altar, the first picture showcased the grandeur of the church’s architecture, featuring carved statues and an extravagant chandelier.
Although they are in the distance, Sreejita oozed elegance in a white bridal gown while Michael was dressed in a black tuxedo.
The second picture presented a better look at the newlyweds.
Sreejita’s gown was a strapless one with embroidered details. Her hair was styled into a bun while her minimal makeup added a sophisticated edge.
She also wore a diamond necklace for the occasion.
Meanwhile, Michael opted for a burgundy bow tie and white pocket square.
The final picture showcased the couple’s first kiss as husband and wife.
Sharing the photos on Instagram, Sreejita wrote:
“Today we celebrate the beginning of forever, hand in hand.”
Many celebrities sent congratulatory messages to the newlyweds.
Sreejita’s Bigg Boss co-contestant Shiv Thakare wrote:
“Congratulations.”
Archana Gautam wrote: “Congratulations yara.”
Simran Budharup said: “Wow, that’s so beautiful. Congratulations and all the best for the new beginning.”
Previously speaking about her wedding, Sreejita De said she will have two weddings.
She explained:
“My idea was always to have an intimate, close-knit wedding.”
“The wedding in Hamburg will be held on July 1 whereas in October end, we will organise the rituals in India, and of course, with a long list of ceremonies.
“My sasural people are way too excited for the Indian wedding function as they want to be part of all the rituals including haldi, mehendi.
“I am tired of explaining the purpose of all the ceremonies.”
Michael proposed to Sreejita in front of the Eiffel Tower in January 2022.
Speaking about the moment, Sreejita previously said:
“It was like a dream. I’ve only seen this in films. I never expected it to happen to me. I don’t think anything can describe that beautiful moment.
“It was in the evening, at around 7:30 pm. We were walking, and it was cold. He suddenly stopped and started telling me how much he loved me.
“The next moment, I realised he was on his knees. I was so shocked that I started crying. I couldn’t stop my tears.”
During her time on Bigg Boss 16, Michael visited the house.
On her experience, Sreejita said: “There is no script, and you are left to live with people you might know a bit or don’t know at all.
“But it was fun, I enjoyed it because I always find my tribe. And I don’t carry the baggage of negativity.
“If I get to work with people with whom I don’t gel at some point, I will still manage without the slightest of apprehension.”
