“These tours give us experiences and emotions"

Iconic Bangladeshi band Shironamhin is set to embark on their first-ever tour of Canada in September 2025.

The tour will mark a huge milestone in their 29-year career.

The band, known for their unique blend of folk and progressive rock, will kick off their highly anticipated journey in Toronto.

Band leader Ziaur Rahman shared his excitement about 2025, describing it as a year full of “variation” for Shironamhin.

He mentioned that multiple international tours are lined up, with offers from different countries.

Having been active for nearly three decades, the band is prepared for a new chapter of global performances.

Shironamhin’s sound is a distinctive fusion of folk and rock, which has resonated with audiences worldwide.

The band’s European tour in 2024 inspired them deeply, according to composer Kazi Ahmad Shafin.

He said: “Last year, we travelled across several European countries, their culture and landscapes left us truly inspired.”

Kazi expressed optimism for this year’s tours, expecting them to be just as enriching.

Vocalist Sheikh Ishtiaque reflected on the significance of these tours for their artistic development.

He noted: “These tours give us experiences and emotions that are essential for creative growth.”

In addition to their international performances, Shironamhin is actively working on new music.

On February 15, 2025, they released ‘Priyotoma’ from their upcoming album Batighor.

The track has already accumulated over 1.5 million views on YouTube, reflecting the band’s strong fan base.

There are four more tracks ready to be released, each accompanied by music videos shot in Thailand and India.

One of the new tracks, ‘Kotodur’, touches on the lives of Bangladeshi expatriates and explores the theme of remittances.

The band is also preparing to release a sequel to their beloved track ‘Ei Obelay’ once sponsorship support is finalised.

With a packed schedule ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of exciting growth for Shironamhin.

Their upcoming performances and releases promise to continue their journey as one of Bangladesh’s most influential music acts.

Fans are looking forward to more music, more tours, and more milestones from the legendary band.

One of them said: “It’s about time! I can’t wait to hear their music live.”

Another wrote: “So excited.”

One commented: “Booking my tickets as soon as they get available.”
