"I never did what you claimed."

Saba Qamar has announced that she is taking legal action against journalist Naeem Hanif after he made serious allegations about her personal life.

The actor firmly stated that what the journalist claimed was entirely false and damaging to her reputation.

Known for her acclaimed performances in Baaghi and Kamli, Saba is not one to remain silent in such situations.

She took to social media to respond strongly, saying that spreading false allegations is a serious crime under the law.

Saba wrote in an Instagram story: “I have never lived in Walton, and I never did what you claimed.”

Making it clear that she will defend her name, Saba said: “I’m taking legal action against you. See you in court.”

The controversy began when journalist Naeem Hanif, known for sharing behind-the-scenes stories about celebrities, made statements about her past.

He alleged that back in 2003 or 2004, Saba lived in a house provided by someone with whom she was romantically involved.

According to him, the man allegedly began harassing her, and Saba brought a complaint to the Jang News office.

He claimed that was how he first met her, linking the story to her recent comments about Karachi.

Naeem added: “When someone buys you a house, then that someone also dictates how you live in there and what you do.

“And he also determines when you go out of that house.”

The remarks immediately caught attention online, sparking outrage and discussion across social media platforms.

Many users criticised Naeem Hanif for reviving old and personal narratives without providing evidence or considering privacy concerns.

He is the same journalist who previously made headlines for revealing private details about Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed’s marriage.

His controversial approach and sensational revelations have often divided public opinion and invited backlash from fans and celebrities alike.

This time, however, the response has been swift, as Saba Qamar’s legal announcement shifted the discussion toward accountability.

Her supporters have praised her courage, calling her decision an important stand against public defamation and irresponsible reporting.

One online user commented: “Good job Saba. Take him to court.

“These baseless stories need to stop now.”

Another questioned: “Why just name her and not the man involved if he really knows the whole story?”

One remarked: “It is a serious sin to blame someone.”

Another said: “Naeem sahib, you should not put a spotlight on anyone’s past life issues. No matter what the truth is.”
