“The law should be equal for everyone.”
YouTuber Rajab Butt has broken his silence on the arrest of fellow creator and former friend Ducky Bhai.
The two once shared a strong bond, often collaborating on videos and even attending family events together.
However, their friendship fell apart after disputes surrounding a joint project and personal remarks linked to their mutual friend Nadeem Nani Wala.
Ducky Bhai was recently arrested in Lahore on allegations of promoting betting apps.
Authorities confirmed he was detained while attempting to leave the country with his wife, and he has since been placed on physical remand.
Police officials have stated that the case involves the unlawful promotion of betting and gambling platforms to youth audiences.
Earlier cases had already been registered against him, making the matter even more complicated for the well-known content creator.
Reacting to the arrest, Rajab Butt remarked that while action was expected, the accountability appeared highly selective and inconsistent.
He pointed out that during the Pakistan Super League, betting app logos were visible on official jerseys and advertising campaigns.
Rajab questioned why only smaller influencers were facing scrutiny while powerful sponsors and celebrities were seemingly being ignored.
He added: “The law should be equal for everyone.”
The YouTuber added that hundreds of digital creators had ties to similar applications.
He argued that only a handful had been targeted because they were easier to arrest and present as examples.
Despite their personal disputes, Rajab conveyed his support for Ducky Bhai and expressed hope for strength for his family.
Meanwhile, fans have been actively discussing the arrest across social media, with debates ranging from legality to the morality of endorsements.
Ducky’s vlogs often focus on family themes, which made him a household name and cemented his reputation as relatable entertainment.
Yet, controversies have shadowed him in recent months, most notably over his claim of owning a lavish DHA Raya home.
He showcased the house, worth an estimated Rs. 10 Crore, in a detailed vlog that instantly went viral.
Shortly after, property dealer Armaghan Rana revealed that the residence was rented for Rs. 4 Lakh per month, not purchased outright.
Many accused Ducky Bhai of misleading fans by exaggerating his financial success and lifestyle.
With the betting app allegations now taking centre stage, his future as one of Pakistan’s top YouTubers remains uncertain.
For his supporters, the outcome of this case will determine whether Ducky Bhai can recover his reputation and career.
