TikToker Simran Kaur enlisted the help of her grandma to rate how some outfits looked on her, and she didn’t hold back.
The British Punjabi influencer, who goes by simran_167 online, has over 460,000 TikTok followers and is a Fashion Nova ambassador.
On social media, she frequently shares makeup tutorials, fashion looks and collaborations with her grandmother.
In a video, Simran showed off a series of outfits, promoting SHEIN‘s spring sale.
She turned her room into a mini catwalk, complete with a treadmill to mimic her walking the ramp.
But while Simran liked the dresses, her grandma had a mixed reaction to them.
The first ensemble was a floral mini-dress that featured ruched styling and draped off her shoulders.
However, the influencer’s grandmother was not a fan of how revealing it was, saying in Punjabi:
“Look at your chest area. Look how short it is.”
But she liked the printed details before brutally rating it two.
A shocked Simran replied: “Two out of 10. It’s not that bad.”
Next was a white ruffled dress that had a plunging neckline and orange patterns.
Although her grandma liked the dress’ length, she did not like its cleavage-baring style:
“I like the length of this dress but the neckline is deep. Six [out of 10].”
One dress she was a fan of was a white strappy number with black leafy prints.
She said: “This one is pretty.”
The video took a funny turn as Simran told her:
“I knew you were going to like it because I don’t like it.”
The fourth dress was a flowy, retro-style ensemble that Simran reminded her of the old days.
She said: “This one reminds me of the olden days and they’re in the kitchen and cooking for their husbands.”
Her grandma disagreed and called it nice but Simran didn’t like it, prompting the elderly woman to bluntly tell her granddaughter:
“Shut up and sit down.”
A final dress was criticised for being “too short”.

Receiving over 224,000 views on TikTok, fans loved the blunt comments from Simran’s grandmother and their relationship.
One wrote: “Aw both of you, super cute.”
Another said: “I’m loving your gran.”
A comment read: “The interactions between you two. I can totally relate. Keeps me humble.”
One fan commented: “Your grandma is amazing I love her.”
Laughing at the video, one person said: “How cutely she is giving ratings in spite of being offended by each and every dress, love her.”
Wanting fashion advice from the grandmother, one requested:
