"The colours of my dress are an ode to my character"
Priyanka Chopra brought the glamour as she attended the San Francisco premiere of The Matrix Resurrections.
The actress wore a dazzling dress with a thigh-high split and a red appliqué across the bodice.
She perfectly paired her dress with pointed-toe pumps.
In an Instagram post, Priyanka said the colours of her dress were an “ode” to her character Sati.
She wrote: “What a night! The Matrix premiere! Also, luxury Law brought it!
“The colours of my dress are an ode to my character in the film, Sati. I can’t wait for all of you to meet her!!
“So proud of this cast and crew. What an honour. Thank you Lana.”
Priyanka opted for a classic Hollywood look, styling her hair with a side part and soft curls over one shoulder.
For accessories, Priyanka went for a pair of drop earrings and a couple of rings.
The versatile actress made sure that all eyes were on her dress, choosing not to wear a necklace.
She also matched her nails, going for metallic nail polish.
Her gorgeous look was accentuated by complementary warm-hued makeup, including a unique look of double-winged eyeliner.
Priyanka’s fluttery eyelashes made her brown eyes stand out while her cheeks had a dusting of rose-coloured blush.
She also opted for reddish-brown lipstick.
Whilst walking the green carpet, Priyanka Chopra revealed why her husband Nick Jonas did not attend.
She said: “He couldn’t make it tonight. Somebody in his tour tested positive, so he wanted to be careful coming in.”
Priyanka went on to reveal that Nick has already seen the film.
She added: “He loves it and he’s a fan of The Matrix anyway.”
Priyanka had previously revealed that Nick was “excitedly” bragging about her role in The Matrix Resurrections to fans.
On her co-star Jada Pinkett Smith’s show Red Table Talk, Priyanka had said:
“He’s definitely a fan of The Matrix and I think he was very excited when I became a part of the movie.
“He may or may not have been very excitedly bragging, telling a few of his fans that I was part of the next one. Yeah.”
At the San Francisco premiere, Priyanka and Jada, who plays Niobe in the film, were asked which the film’s pills they would rather take, with red representing truth, and blue representing ignorant bliss.
Both said they’d prefer the red one.
Referring to Jada, Priyanka said: “I’m a red pill kind of girl. That’s why I’m hanging out with her.”
The Matrix Resurrections releases in theatres on December 22, 2021.
