With the Ambani wedding celebrations continuing, it is reportedly no surprise that Prince Harry wanted an invite.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in Mumbai after several months of celebrations.
High-profile stars ranging from Kim Kardashian to Tony Blair were in attendance.
The Ambanis hired 100 jets to transport guests and booked them into five-star hotels.
As the Ambani wedding celebrations head to Stoke Park in Slough, Prince Harry is said to be “hoping to pop in”.
It was previously reported that he was willing to travel to India for the celebrations.
According to a royal expert, Harry’s eagerness to be at the world’s most expensive wedding is so he can potentially boost his profile and financial standing in the United States.
Stating that it is no shock Prince Harry wanted to be on the guest list, Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun:
“I think that what is linked to this report about Harry, I think it’s linked to the very desperate desire by the Sussexes to be seen at what we would call a list of events.
“I would say that, for example, in Hollywood, if you look at the list, say of those who in one way or another supported the royal family recently.
“There’s a host of celebrities who are interested in or supportive of royalty.”
Richard explained how Tom Cruise became associated with the royals after he appeared at several events.
He continued: “We’ve had Tom Cruise on several royal events, in fact.
“There’s no doubt at all that. He is very in with the royals.”
Richard also touched on rumours swirling around a reported feud between the Sussexes and the Beckhams.
He said: “The Beckhams were reportedly close to Harry and Meghan, and also reports have been pretty consistent that the couples have fallen out.
“This had something to do with the way David Beckham was snubbed or felt.”
However, Richard does not know whether Harry and Meghan will attend the highly anticipated event.
He said: “So will Harry attend?
“We’ll have to see, of course, but the reason for the rumours is very clearly the fact that you’ve got something that’s very spectacular, and like Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding, it’s the sort of thing that they would want to make an appearance at.”
He added that their charity, Archewell, hasn’t gained much attention in Hollywood and is yet to speak a “great deal of interest regarding the rich list”.
