Preity Zinta took to her X account to reveal that she has finished filming for Lahore, 1947.
The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and stars Preity opposite Sunny Deol.
It also features Shabana Azmi and Karan Deol in key roles.
Aamir Khan has produced the film.
Meanwhile, AR Rahman has composed the music.
Writing on X, Preity Zinta said:
“It’s a wrap on Lahore, 1947 and I couldn’t be more grateful to the entire cast and crew for such an incredible experience.
“I sincerely hope all of you appreciate and enjoy this film as much as we did making it.
“It’s definitely the toughest film I have worked on.
“Full marks to everyone for all their hard work and patience during the last couple of months.
“Thank you Raj Ji, Aamir, Sunny, Shabana Ji, Santosh Sivan, and AR Rahman from the bottom of my heart.
“Loads of love always.”
In February 2024, Rajkumar Santoshi confirmed that Preity would star in the film.
He had said: “After a long time, Preity Zinta is again playing a very important role on the silver screen with Lahore, 1947.
“She is indeed an extremely talented, finest, and most natural actress in our industry.
“Whichever character she plays she totally invests herself in it and makes the audience feel that she is made for that character.
“Interestingly, the audience will see her again with Sunny Deol.
“This on-screen pair has always been immensely loved by the audience.
“Above all, this film’s script demands a pair that is as accurate as Sunny and Preity.”
When the project was first announced in October 2023, Aamir Khan had given a statement via the social media account of his production company.
He wrote: “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947.
“We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favourite directors Raj Santoshi.
“The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching.”

Lahore, 1947 marks the first time Aamir and Sunny have collaborated together.
The film is scheduled to be released on Republic Day 2025.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Preity was last seen in Bhaiaji Superhit (2018), where she also starred opposite Sunny Deol.
Lahore, 1947 reunites her professionally with Aamir Khan after Dil Chahta Hai (2001).
