He squirted the contents at the children
A Pakistani teacher was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, after he threw acid on his students.
The heinous crime took place in an area of Sadiqabad in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
It was reported that he attacked four of his students after they complained about him sexually harassing them.
The matter came to light when a man named Riaz Hussain approached the police. He said that a man named Osama used to teach his 14-year-old son Hasnain Ali and the other children in the neighbourhood.
Riaz said that Osama had tried to develop relations with some of the children, talking to them in a highly sexualised manner.
The children subsequently informed their parents and they confronted the teacher.
The parents told Osama to stop harassing their children and eventually stopped sending them to his classes. Osama was angered by the situation and decided to take action.
Riaz said that the incident happened on Tuesday morning.
His son had been playing in the street with three other children named Mahraib, Aashan Ahmed and Moiz Khalid.
The Pakistani teacher soon turned up in the area and approached them, holding a knife and a plastic bottle. He squirted the contents at the children before fleeing the scene.
It was revealed that the liquid was a form of acid as it immediately burned them.
Riaz immediately called the paramedics and the police. The four victims were taken to Sadiqabad THQ Hospital where they said to be in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, the families of the victims have demanded strict action against Osama.
The uncle of one of the victims said:
“I request the prime minister, Punjab chief minister and Sadiqabad DPO to immediately arrest the man.”
It was revealed that immediately after the attack, the teacher fled but was caught by the locals. However, he managed to break free from their grasp.
A police officer said:
“The suspect was caught by neighbours from the crime scene but fled from their grasp.”
The officer added that Osama was caught following a raid. Police spokesperson Ahmed Nawaz Cheema confirmed that a police team had arrested the suspect.
A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
In another case, a teacher from Punjab in Pakistan was arrested for trying to rape a female student.
The eight-year-old had gone to his home for lessons. He then tried to sexually assault her but stopped after the girl started to scream.
When the victim returned home, she told her family about what happened.
After learning about what Akhtar Hussain tried to do to her daughter, the victim’s mother confronted him.
