Pakistani Man Strangled Pregnant Wife & Buried Her in Garden

A Pakistani man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his pregnant wife and young stepson to death. He later buried their bodies in the garden.

Both the prime accused and his brother were arrested on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Officers at Bahawalnagar Police Station said that an FIR of double homicide was registered against the two suspects. The case was filed by the victim’s brother.

It was reported that the deceased woman was in the early stages of her pregnancy.

The suspect was identified as Muhammad Ali who is from the Basti Maharanwali area of Bahawalnagar, which is in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

According to officers, Ali admitted murdering his wife and her 11-year-old son, along with burying their bodies in the garden of his home.

He explained that daily arguments with his wife had led to the double killing.

Ali told officers that his wife wanted for them to get their own home. She had expressed her wish to move out of her in-law’s home and to live in another house with Ali and her son.

However, the Pakistani man was against it and this led to frequent arguments between the couple.

On the day of the murder, no one was at the house apart from Ali, his wife and her son.

The pregnant woman asked her husband of her wish for them to move out of the house, which resulted in Ali refusing.

The couple got into an argument and it gradually became more heated. This prompted the woman’s son to see what was going on.

Ali eventually became enraged with his wife and brutally strangled her. He then turned to his stepson and did the same.

Ali then called his brother to help get rid of the bodies. The two brothers later dug up the garden and buried the two victims.

Following their disappearance, the woman’s brother became suspicious and believed that Ali was responsible due to him being in the house with her.

Based on the statement, Ali was arrested and later confessed to the double murder. He explained that he and his brother buried their bodies in the garden.

While both men remained in custody, police went to the house and discovered the victims’ bodies.

Geo reported that the bodies of the pregnant woman and young son were recovered and sent to a hospital for a post-mortem.
