"I consider myself fortunate."
Actress Nusraat Faria has finally spoken out about her arrest earlier this year, breaking her silence after months.
The actress was taken into custody in May 2025 in connection with an attempted murder case and spent two nights in jail.
Speaking on the New York-based talk show Friday Night with Zayed Khan, she described the experience as deeply unsettling and painful.
Faria admitted: “I never imagined something like this could happen. Not even in my worst nightmares.”
She explained that her life had always revolved around small joys such as makeup, skincare, family, shopping, and travelling.
“To suddenly be caught up in such complications was shocking. It felt like my world had been turned upside down.”
The actress reflected on how the ordeal shaped her maturity, saying: “I think this is what growing up means.”
She added that difficult circumstances force people to evolve, and for her, the arrest became a strange but defining turning point.
The actress revealed: “This is my first interview since the arrest. I wasn’t mentally ready to discuss it before this moment.”
She recalled images of herself being escorted into court, pushed through crowds, despite not even being present during the incident.
Faria acknowledged that what happened to her could happen to anyone, regardless of their lifestyle or public status.
She said: “But I consider myself fortunate. Through my work, I’ve received love across the country, and that helped me.”
Faria credited her survival during the dark days to her family’s unwavering support and the prayers of her admirers.
She reflected:
“My parents, my siblings, and my supporters reminded me I was not alone in facing that challenge.”
Within two weeks of her release, Faria returned to work, determined not to let the controversy overshadow her career.
However, she admitted that the incident taught her lasting lessons about uncertainty, resilience, and faith in divine justice.
Faria said: “The biggest thing I’ve learned is that nothing is permanent. Life can change at any moment.”
She urged others to be mentally prepared for adversity and to understand that integrity remains the strongest shield.
“If you remain honest, no evil force can truly hold you back.
“You may face challenges, but ultimately, the Creator will help you overcome them. That is my greatest lesson.”
For Nusraat Faria, the arrest was both a nightmare and a teacher, leaving her stronger and more grounded than before.
