"My only fault is that I’m Atif Khan’s wife.”
Nadia Hussain has been granted pre-arrest bail by a sessions court.
This comes after she was named in a high-profile corporate fraud case involving her husband Atif Khan.
The case, which alleges a staggering financial misconduct of over Rs 540 million, has drawn widespread media attention.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) accused Atif Mohammad Khan, the former CEO of Bank Alfalah Securities, of involvement in a major financial scandal.
He is facing charges of embezzlement, criminal breach of trust, and misusing company funds over a period of eight years.
His tenure at the company spanned from July 2015 to December 2023.
Nadia Hussain, though not directly involved in her husband’s business operations, has been named as a key beneficiary of the alleged illicit funds.
Soon after securing bail, Nadia addressed the issue in a candid video statement posted on her Instagram.
She categorically denied any involvement in the financial fraud case and explained her decision to approach the court.
Nadia Hussain said: “I don’t trust the FIA, which is why I secured pre-arrest bail. My only fault is that I’m Atif Khan’s wife.”
The actress clarified that she has no connection to her husband’s professional dealings.
She said the only reason her name has been brought into the spotlight is her public identity, making her an easy target for exaggeration.
Nadia added:
“The media and people have magnified the case by associating me with it unnecessarily.”
The actress explained that she opted for legal protection not because she feared guilt but because she feared being wrongly implicated.
According to Nadia, the move was a precaution based on mistrust toward the investigating agency’s methods.
She also reassured her followers that the public, by now, likely understands she has no role in the scandal.
She repeatedly claims to have nothing to do with it and has reiterated her complete disconnection from the financial controversy.

Atif Khan was recently arrested in connection with this case.
While the investigation is ongoing, Nadia urged the media and the public to refrain from dragging her name into the matter.
The actress, married to Atif since 2003 and mother to four children, requested privacy for her family as they navigate this difficult time.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations surrounding her husband, Nadia Khan maintains her innocence.
