"She needed to heal, to rest, to be with herself."
Mawra Hocane recently uploaded a post on her Instagram to mark World Mental Health Day.
The actress shared a small video, showing her as a child and as an adult.
Seemingly dedicated to her younger self, the caption read:
“I have spent the last three years of my life focusing on this little girl.
“She needed to heal, to rest, to be with herself. To walk away from the noise and the lights. To find that light within instead.
“To work just enough for joy and not find validation in exhaustion. Most importantly, she wanted to be ‘home’ and she was after many years.
“Don’t shy away from making yourself a priority.
“If 2020 taught me anything, it was not to ignore my inner voice, to listen to my body, and to chase happiness and nothing else, because, at the end of the day, it’s all that matters.
“Sending love and strength to those who still suffer in silence.”
There were many supportive messages left for Mawra and many individuals came forward to offer words of support to anyone who was suffering with their mental health.
One comment said: “To all those suffering, remember that you are not defined by your hardships.
“With resilience, strength and hope, you will emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.
“The pain and suffering you once endured will become a testament to your resilience and strength.
“You will look back on those moments and realise how much you have grown, both as an individual and as a survivor.
“Hold on to hope, keep moving forward and trust in the power of your inner strength and healing. With Allah’s help, it gets better. I promise.”

Another read: “Mental health problems do not define who you are, they are something you experience.
“You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain!”
In a recent interview, Fahad Mustafa also briefly touched on the subject of mental health within the showbiz industry and hinted that everyone was a victim of it.
Fahad explained: “I don’t think there is anyone in the industry one can go to for relationship advice, because they are all victims of mental health. Everyone has issues.”
In recent times, many celebrities have shed light on their mental health, and one such individual was Saheefa Jabbar Khattak.
Saheefa admitted that she was struggling with her mental health and had battled with thoughts of suicide.
She said: “Yes, I have not been myself lately, which is very difficult for me to accept here.
“I may or may not know what exactly happened but it is something I can not talk about without crying my lungs out.
“I am in pain, I am grieving, every day is a struggle for me. It is all dark and gloomy for me. Every day I wish death upon myself.”
She went on to admit that she had lost weight because she was not eating and that she was constantly taking sleeping pills in an attempt to “sleep away the pain”.
