Samina Ahmed and her husband Manzar Sehbai were recently seen on the set of Vasay Chaudhry’s talk show Gup Shab in which Manzar won the hearts of the audience when he asked for a table to be removed.

As the couple walked onto the stage to begin their interview, Manzar noticed a table was placed between the two seats on which he and Samina would be seated.

He requested that the table be moved and the seats be pushed together as he felt the table served as a wall between him and his wife.

His actions were met with applause and cheering.

Manzar was asked how he was and he replied he was fine as long as his wife was by his side.

Vasay asked Samina if she had watched Manzar in Bol in which he was paired with Iman Ali.

Samina replied: “I did not know him then and I was quite taken aback thinking, ‘Who is this?’

“It has been a while since I’ve worked in television and film so I do recognise most people.

“I was surprised. I thought ‘Who is this person? What world is he from?’”

The pair revealed how they met and said they did not know about one another before marriage, although Manzar had heard of Samina’s name.

Manzar Sehbai shared with the audience that when he was getting to know Samina she did not boast about her successful acting career.

He also grew closer to her without knowing of her professional background.

The attention turned to Samina and she was asked if she had accepted Manzar’s proposal straight away.

Samina admitted that she had taken her time to say yes and questioned how her life would change.

She said: “Nothing can remain in a vacuum or stay static.

“Life has to go on, things have to change. I have seen that change, quite a bit of it. But when you ask me about the impact on character selection, I don’t think so.”

The latest episode was enjoyed on social media and many individuals said that it was refreshing to see the older generation finding love.

One comment read:

“The beauty of a husband and wife’s relationship is that they both want each other’s company.”

“They are loyal and committed by nature so their relationship works.

“I see this in this couple. A good decision by both.”

Another said: “Such ravishing guests. Pure soulmates.”

Manzar Sehbai highlighted his love for the Urdu language and revealed his mother tongue is Punjabi.

He commented: “This Urdu language that I use is not mine. Neither is German. My mother tongue is Punjabi, we are Kashmiri.

“Usually people use a language. Then, there’s developing a relationship with a language. It is very necessary.

“If you wish to create magic and beauty in the usage of a language, then you must develop that relationship.”
