"What an absolute s**t show of a night"
Madhuri Dixit is facing criticism after arriving three hours late to her show in Toronto, part of her ongoing USA-Canada tour.
Several attendees took to social media to express frustration, calling the event “poorly organised” and accusing promoters of misleading advertising.
Many claimed the programme was marketed as a live performance, but largely featured conversations with limited dance segments.
One person wrote on social media: “If I could give you one piece of advice, it’s not to attend the Madhuri Dixit tour… Save your money.”
Their caption read: “What an absolute s**t show of a night… and they get PAID for that?”
@parwaiz.dhanani what an absolute shit show of a night…and they get PAID for that? #bollywood #desi #madhuridixit #madhuridixittoronto ? original sound – ?? Parwaiz Dhanani
Another user echoed the disappointment: “This was the worst show ever. So unorganised. The advertisement didn’t say she was just going to chat and dance for 2 seconds of each song.
“Very very poorly organised by the promoters. So many people walked out.
“People were yelling for a refund and (that the show’s) boring.
“Doesn’t matter that she is a beautiful actress and person; everyone who went to the show has to agree it was poorly organised.”
Questioning the tour’s creative direction, one person asked:
“How long will she dance on the same old songs. She does it on her weekly dance shows already. What was the tour even for?”
Another attendee slammed the lengthy delay:
“I am glad I saw her, but left at 11:05 pm as I had work the next day.
“I honestly don’t know if it was the organisers or her who decided for her to come at 10 pm.
“On my ticket, it said the start time was 7.30 pm. It did not state any pre-shows. I expected it to be a chat, with some singing and dancing.
“It just started way too late and disrespected the audience’s time.”
A comment read: “Worst show one can ever go to. Least worried about the audience’s time. 3 hours late and then full of lame talks.”

Despite the backlash, some fans defended Madhuri:
“Madhuri Dixit is amazing; whoever got to attend was very lucky. Real fans would appreciate any glimpse of her.
“It’s obvious who the real die-hard fans are and who are not.
“She has a beautiful voice and no one can match her dance steps.
“It’s not her fault if it was not organised correctly, she can only do so much. To be in her presence is something else. She looked so beautiful.”
Another fan described her as a “legendary artiste”, noting that people attend her shows simply to see her, regardless of format.
Madhuri’s “The Golden Diva of Bollywood” tour continues with upcoming stops in New Jersey, Boston, Chicago, Houston, and New York.
As of now, neither the actress nor her team has addressed the delay at the Toronto event. It remains to be seen whether any adjustments will be made to the tour’s format following the criticism.
