"I saw you on TV why were you singing so badly?"
In a video, Karan Johar’s children Yash and Roohi made fun of his singing.
On Instagram, the filmmaker provided a glimpse of his weekend with his children. In the video, Karan spent time with the duo as they played.
The video began with Yash mumbling as Karan asked him:
“No, one second. What were you saying? Sorry.”
Continuing to play, Yash asked his father:
“I saw you on TV why were you singing so badly?”
Karan asked: “I’m doing what badly?”
Both kids responded: “Singing so badly.”
Karan justified his singing, saying:
“I sing very well. Dada has a trained, trained voice, only in his own head. But I sing beautifully. You want to hear me sing?”
After thinking about what they wanted, Yash and Roohi eventually said yes.
Karan then started singing ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar’ but the children were not fans and put their hands over their ears.
The filmmaker told them: “Aare hear me at least na.”
While the children laughed, they did not put down their hands.

Sharing the lighthearted video, Karan captioned the post:
“No fans of my melodious voice in my house.”
Maheep Kapoor and Rajiv Adatia dropped laughing and red heart emojis.
Fans loved the heartwarming moment between Karan and his children.
One said: “You’re such a sweet dad.”
Another commented:
“We want more of these, love love and love.”
A third person joked: “They roast you well.”
This is not the first time Yash and Roohi have made fun of Karan Johar’s singing.
Earlier in 2022, Karan attempted to sing ‘Kesariya’ from Brahmastra. But his children shut him down.
Karan shared the video and wrote: “My attempts have met with a very objectionable response! Also don’t miss the last savage like I had to listen to… #kesariya #roohiyashjohar.”
While Karan tried to sing Yash screamed at him and Roohi said:
“You are ruining the song, it’s very new.”
Yash also called his father a “silly old elf”.
Karan Johar has sung numerous times on television, mostly on reality shows.
He recently sang ‘Aaaja Piya Tohe Pyar Doon’ with Parineeti Chopra on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Karan also sang Asha Bhosle’s ‘In Aankhon Ki Masti’.
On the work front, Karan Johar is set to make his directorial return with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
The film stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. It is set to release in February 2023.
