Fans can look forward to more live energy soon.
Punjabi superstar Karan Aujla has continued his unstoppable rise by lighting up international television with a fiery debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In a video shared by the programme, the ‘Tauba Tauba’ hitmaker was warmly greeted by Fallon before teaching the late-night host some traditional bhangra moves.
Fallon may not have been fully prepared, but he enthusiastically tried to match Aujla’s high-energy steps, leaving fans delighted and proud.
For his U.S. television debut, Aujla wore a black kurta-pyjama paired with a matching sleeveless jacket, representing Punjabi culture in authentic style.
The official Instagram account of The Tonight Show shared pictures from the appearance, captioned:
“TONIGHT: @karanaujla makes his US TV debut to perform a medley of ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘Gabhru!’”
This milestone marks another chapter in Punjabi music’s global takeover.
Just last year, Diljit Dosanjh created history with his performance on the same stage, and now Aujla has carried that momentum forward with his electrifying medley of ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘MF Gabhru’.
Beyond the performance, Aujla’s story underscores the global appeal of Punjabi sounds.
Originally from Ghurala, Punjab, he moved to Canada at the age of nine after losing his parents.
Before becoming a household name as a singer, he wrote lyrics for big names including Jassi Gill, Gippy Grewal, and Jazzy B, shaping the sound of contemporary Punjabi music from behind the scenes.
His latest spotlight moment coincides with the release of his third studio album, P-Pop Culture, created in collaboration with longtime producer Ikky.
Released on August 22, 2025, the 11-track album was unveiled mid-concert at a sold-out Montreal arena.
Describing it as his most personal project, Aujla said he poured “every ounce” of himself into the music after two years of tireless work.
The Tonight Show has built a reputation for viral, social-media-ready segments, and Aujla’s bhangra lesson is already racking up global engagement.
Fallon’s version of the show, which launched in 2014, has leaned into creating moments that resonate far beyond late-night television, amplifying artists’ reach worldwide.
For Aujla, this platform cements his status as one of Punjabi music’s most influential voices.
Fans can look forward to more live energy soon.
Karan Aujla is set to make his debut at Rolling Loud India, taking place on November 23, 2025, at Loud Park, Navi Mumbai.
Joining him on the line-up are international stars including Don Toliver, Westside Gunn, and Sambata, promising a festival where Punjabi music will stand tall on a global stage.
