"all his wishes came true when his son came back"
Kajol has been asked why she didn’t wish close friend Shah Rukh Khan ‘happy birthday as he turned 56-years-old.
The Bollywood superstar celebrated the occasion on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, but the actress did not comment.
During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Instagram Live, Kajol was asked why that had been the case by a fan.
She replied: “What more can I wish him?
“I think all his wishes came true when his son came back home.”
Khan’s 23-year-old son, Aryan Khan, was recently finally granted bail after spending almost a month behind bars.
His arrest came after India’s Narcotics and Control Bureau (NCB) raided a party he was attending aboard a cruise ship.
They recovered cocaine, MDMA and Mephedrone during the midnight operation on a cruise ship travelling to Goa.
However, it was later confirmed that Khan did not have any drugs in his possession.
Meanwhile, other celebrities had taken to social media to wish SRK a happy birthday.

Kajol was previously trolled for celebrating the 26th anniversary of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) amid Aryan Khan’s case.
The cult classic romcom, which she starred in alongside Shah Rukh Khan, soon became the highest-grossing movie that year.
It earned over Rs. 250 Crore (£24 million) at the box office and remains one of India’s most successful films of all time.
One Mumbai cinema, Maratha Mandir, had run constantly run the movie, often abbreviated to DDLJ, before Covid-19 struck.
DDLJ is now set to be adapted into a Broadway musical called Come Fall In Love – The DDLJ Musical in 2022.
To mark the film’s anniversary, Kajol took to Instagram to share a scene of her character, Simran, running after a train that SRK’s character, Raj, was on.
She wrote: “Simran caught the train 26 years back and we are still thanking everyone for all this love… #26YearsOfDDLJ.”
However, many netizens were not impressed and thought that the post was insensitive.
One Instagram user asked: “What about supporting SRK in this time of need?”
Another commented: “Your so-called best friend SRK is in the worst time of his life.”
Someone else wrote: “Shame on you for not supporting SRK.
“Really shows a lot about your personality.”
Kajol was last seen in Netflix’s Tribhanga (2021) and has a number of upcoming projects including The Last Hurrah.
