Kajol has revealed that she will be taking a break from social media.
The actress had been quite active on Instagram, particularly when it comes to posting pictures with her family.
She has also posted throwback memories of her popular films like Gupt and Bekhudi, both of which recently hit milestone anniversaries.
But Kajol has now left fans stunned by announcing she has temporarily quit social media.
On both Instagram and Twitter, she posted an image with a black background and text that read:
“Facing one of the toughest trials of my life.”
She also captioned both posts: “Taking a break from social media.”
On Instagram, Kajol also removed all of her previous posts.
Kajol initially did not reveal the reason for her social media break but it left fans concerned and showed their support for the actress in the comments section.
One said: “Sending you so much love.”
Another wrote: “Please take care.”
A third person said: “Hope you’re doing fine, take your time.”
Offering support, a user said:
“Sending you all my love. Take your time. We will be here.”
A netizen said: “It’s okay not to be okay and take your time.”
Stating that Kajol will overcome whatever she is going through, an optimistic fan said:
“You are strong enough to face any problem.”
Others sent “hugs” and “love” to the actress while some wondered what her brief statement meant.

It was later revealed to be Kajol unveiling the title of her new web series, titled The Trial.
A Hindi adaptation of The Good Wife, Kajol turns into a lawyer, stepping into Julianna Margulies’ shoes.
The announcement comes just days after it was revealed that Kajol would be starring in the upcoming Lust Stories 2, which releases on Netflix on June 29, 2023.
The teaser continued the structure of four stories about relationships, from a woman’s perspective.
It began with Neena Gupta saying that if someone test drives a car before buying it, one should have a similar sort of test drive before getting married.
Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Varma are also in the room.
Supposedly having their marriage arranged, they smile and shyly look away while Kajol laughs at Neena’s words.
Kajol is later seen in the clip teasing a man.
Kajol was last seen in Salaam Venky, which starred Vishal Jethwa.
The film is based on the true story of a mother who does everything she can to let her son, diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, live life to the fullest.
