"the audience will ask what’s it going to be like now?”

Syra Yousuf and ex-husband Shahroz Sabzwari have come together to talk about their new movie release Babylicious.

The former couple had been married when they signed up to do the film.

But in February 2020, the pair announced their separation, ending seven years of marriage.

Shahroz shocked fans when it was revealed that he married model Sadaf Kanwal just three months later.

Regardless of their divorce, the two have shown professionalism whilst promoting their movie, and their joint effort has raised a massive amount of curiosity among the general public.

Fans have called the former couple a “breath of fresh air” because they prove that there is more to two individuals other than just being bitter exes.

Coming together for an interview with Maliha Rehman, the ex-couple voiced their opinion about working together again after their divorce.

They both agreed that their fans would watch the movie regardless of the history between the pair.

They stated that it was the USP of the film that would bring the audience to the cinemas and that it was their characters that would draw the public in.

When asked what the fans would think about the film, Syra said:

“The charming thing about the movie is that the audience will ask what’s it going to be like now?”

Shahroz added: “The public are not interested in what is happening behind the screen.

“To them, we are just Syra and Shahroz, they only want to see what we are doing in the movie.

“They want to see us together on the screen.”

Babylicious is set to be released on June 27, 2023, and the lead stars hope the film engages the audience with its uplifting storyline.

Urging fans to watch the film, Shahroz previously said:

“Basically, we want that on the first day of Eid, you go with your family, the second day you go on a date, and on the third day you come alone.

“We want you to watch it thrice.”

Providing a basic outline of the film, Shahroz said:

“It will remind the older generation about the love of their youth, and it might teach youngsters the meaning of love.”

Babylicious has been in production for several years but the Covid-19 pandemic caused it to be postponed numerous times.

Syra Yousuf and Shahroz Sabzwari share a daughter, Nooreh, who they co-parent.
