Kajal Aggarwal and her husband Gautam Kitchlu are expecting their first child together sometime in 2022.
Businessman Gautam confirmed the news in a cryptic Instagram post.
In the post, Gautam shared a picture of his actress wife. Kajal sported a yellow top and went makeup-free as she posed for the camera.
Gautam subtly confirmed the pregnancy in the caption.
The caption read: “Here’s looking at you 2022.”
The caption also included an emoji of a pregnant woman, confirming what has been speculated for a while.

Previous pictures of Kajal showed what looked to be a hint of a baby bump, fuelling the rumours.
The confirmation of the pregnancy prompted messages of congratulations.
One person said: “Oh God, just can’t believe it is official now.”
Another wrote: “Congratulations. Super excited for the little one.”
A third said: “May God bless your baby with health and happiness.”
Kajal had previously posted a New Year’s Eve picture that hinted at her pregnancy.
She looked stunning in a green gown with a thigh-high split as she posed with her husband.
Meanwhile, Gautam, who opted for a shirt, placed his hands over his wife’s stomach, seemingly revealing the pregnancy.
The loved-up picture was captioned: “So, I close my eyes to old ends.
“Open my eyes to new beginnings! Happy new year fam. Immensely grateful for 2021.
“Look forward to entering 22 with wisdom, kindness and love in our hearts.”
The couple have been married since October 30, 2020.
It was a lavish ceremony in Mumbai but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the wedding was only attended by family members and close friends.
To mark their anniversary, Kajal Aggarwal wrote:
“I love you even when you whisper in the middle of the night ‘are you awake? I need to show you this dog video’.”
“Happy 1st anniversary from the best thing that ever happened to YOU!”
On how she fell in love with Gautam, Kajal had said in 2020:
“We were used to meeting all the time.
“Whether it was a social party or an important professional endeavour, the other one would always show up.
“So, amidst the lockdown, when we didn’t see each other for a few weeks – at best, we would catch a glimpse behind a mask at a grocery store – we realised that we wanted to be together.”
On the work front, Kajal’s next film will be Hey Sinamika, which also stars Dulquer Salmaan and Aditi Rao Hydari.
The film is set to release in theatres on February 25, 2022.
