"It was a battle that I had to fight against myself"
Jasmin Bhasin has opened up on a time when she was having suicidal thoughts.
She previously spoke about them during her time on Bigg Boss 14 where there was a segment where the contestants were asked to reveal secrets that they had never shared with anyone.
Jasmin revealed that she had suicidal thoughts, shocking her fellow housemates.
She explained that when she first started out in the entertainment industry, she went through a low point due to a lack of work as well as multiple rejections.
Now, she has opened up on the matter.
Jasmin said: “See, I went through that zone long ago in my life, when I had come to Mumbai and I was struggling.
“It was a battle that I had to fight against myself because somewhere I was losing confidence in myself.
“I thought I am flawed, my skin has flaws, I don’t look good and that’s why I face rejections every day.”
Jasmin managed to overcome her negative thoughts, revealing that self-love helped her.
She elaborated:
“For me, the learning point is, you need to end that battle with yourself first.
“You need to accept yourself the way you are.”
“You need to accept your flaws because your flaws make you unique and different from others, otherwise, we will all look like the same dolls in a toy shop.
“As long as you feel confident about yourself and have this determination that ‘This is what I want to do, I will make sure I do it, at least I will give my 100% so that I do not feel guilty that I did not make that attempt’, nothing and nobody can stop you.”
On the reality show, the difficult task was a chance for the contestants to win immunity.
Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik revealed that she and husband Abhinav Shukla were on the verge of divorce. They have now resolved things.
Meanwhile, Ejaz Khan shockingly revealed that he was molested as a child.
In addition to Bigg Boss 14, Jasmin Bhasin appeared on the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.
She has also acted in the likes of Tashan-e-Ishq, Dil Se Dil Tak and Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel.
After Bigg Boss 14, Jasmin has featured in two music videos with her boyfriend Aly Goni, Tony Kakkar’s ‘Tera Suit’ and Vishal Mishra’s ‘Tu Bhi Sataya Jayega’.
