The new song ‘Perfect’ from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari was released on September 18, featuring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Punjabi pop star Guru Randhawa.
Randhawa not only performed the track but also co-wrote the music and lyrics with Gill Machhrai and Rony Ajnali, while Dilmaan produced the vibrant number.
The singer described ‘Perfect’ as being about “good vibes,” calling it fresh, fun and full of energy that lifts your mood and gets you moving instantly.
“The beats are infectious and the rhythm playful, making it impossible not to groove. Varun and Janhvi add the ‘PERFECT’ touch,” Randhawa explained enthusiastically.
Janhvi Kapoor shared, “Guru has created something so catchy and full of life. Dancing to it with Varun was an absolute blast.”
She added, “Perfect has this playful, high-energy vibe that makes you want to move. I hope audiences feel the same excitement we did.”
Varun Dhawan revealed that the track is his fourth collaboration with Randhawa, and he immediately wanted it included after hearing it during a casual meeting.
“This is my fourth collaboration with Guru. When he played Perfect, I instantly felt it was right for our film and called Shashank immediately,” he said.
Released under Sony Music India, the music video features quirky visuals of Janhvi ironing cash, eating pearls for breakfast and dancing alongside Varun and Guru.
However, many fans expressed disappointment that co-star Sanya Malhotra was missing, particularly as she is renowned for her dancing talent and energy.
One viewer commented, “Where is Sanya Malhotra? She would have eaten up those moves with ease.” Another called it “a missed opportunity by the makers.”
Another remark read, “Why the hell is Sanya sidelined in every clip, every promotion, every song? Insecurity??” showing the frustration around her absence.
The film’s trailer, released days earlier, teased a twisted love story where Varun and Janhvi pretend to be together to make their exes jealous.
Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra play the former partners, adding further intrigue to the narrative.
The trailer also referenced classic Bollywood moments.
In one scene, Varun uses lines from his father, David Dhawan’s Raja Babu, to pen a cheeky romantic poem, which fans found particularly nostalgic.
Viewers also noted the storyline’s resemblance to Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, itself a remake of Hollywood’s French Kiss.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film stars Maniesh Paul, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi and Abhinav Sharma in pivotal supporting roles.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on Dussehra, October 2, 2025, positioning it as a major Bollywood festive release.
