"He doesn't care about anything else"
Janhvi Kapoor stated that when it comes to her potential groom, her father Boney Kapoor has only one condition.
Filmmaker Boney is protective of his daughters Janhvi and Khushi.
When she was asked about marriage, Janhvi revealed that her father has just one condition for her potential groom and it is an unexpected one.
Janhvi said: “Papa has this thing.
“He doesn’t care about anything else, he was just like ‘He should just be as tall as me’ and papa is 6’1”.”
The actress went on to say: “As a kid, he used to tell me and Khushi – before you get married, I want to make sure that you can go and tell your husband that my father has made me travel all around the world before I even got married to you.
“He didn’t want to leave any stone unturned.
“But now I realise that he did that because he wanted to make sure that the person that we marry lives up to how giving he’s been with me and Khushi.”
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she remains in touch with her rumoured ex-boyfriend Ishaan Khatter.
Janhvi made her acting debut in Dhadak opposite Ishaan in 2018.
She explained that although they are busy with their respective careers, there is still warmth whenever they meet.
Janhvi said:
“I think we are both busy now but every time we meet, there is that warmth.”
“Rangsaari, the song that came out from Jug Jugg Jeeyo, that song was supposed to be in Dhadak.
“So every time we’d shoot montages for Dhadak, we’d play that song.
“When it came out, both of us felt like this was our song and it made us feel so much. We texted each other, ‘Did you see it?’ It felt kind of funny.”
On the work front, Janhvi will next be seen in Good Luck Jerry, which will premiere on July 29, 2022, on Disney+ Hotstar.
The film is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila featuring Nayanthara in the lead role.
Janhvi will also be seen in the likes of Mili, which is produced by her father Boney Kapoor, and Mr And Mrs Mahi.
