"if the right thing came up, who knows?"

It seems Nick Jonas is keen to make his Bollywood debut but first, he is waiting for the right offer.

In an interview, the musician revealed that he does not mind trying out for a role in an Indian film. This is thanks to his wife Priyanka Chopra who introduced him to Indian music as well as films.

Nick praised the Hindi film industry, calling it “phenomenal”.

On Bollywood films, Nick said:

“I love Bollywood films – I’ve gotten more familiar in the last couple of years after being with my wife; it’s certainly something that I would be interested in doing.”

Venturing into Bollywood is a possibility, given that Nick Jonas has had acting roles in the past, previously starring in the Disney film Camp Rock as well as the film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Nick also revealed that he has a number of friends in the industry.

He continued: “I’ve gotten a lot of friends now in that industry and I think it’s just a phenomenal film industry, the work they do is very inspiring and if the right thing came up, who knows?

“Maybe I’d jump in!”

Nick Jonas opened up on Bollywood music, sharing:

“I think it’s amazing. I obviously listened to quite a lot of it while I was in India and also at our wedding, we had a lot of great Indian music and Bollywood music.

“It’s the best kind of music to dance to and it’s definitely what we play at our house parties!”

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra married in December 2018 in Jodhpur and they are set to mark their third wedding anniversary.

There had been rumours that they split up after social media users noticed that Priyanka had removed ‘Jonas’ from her name on Instagram.

However, the speculation was dismissed after Priyanka left a comment on Nick’s post later in the day.

Her mother Madhu Chopra also denied that they had separated.

On the work front, Nick is set to star in a pro-shot taping of the musical, Jersey Boys.

Meanwhile, Priyanka will next be seen in The Matrix Resurrections, where she will play the role of Sati.

She also has numerous projects lined up, including the TV series Citadel and Jee Le Zara, which marks her return to Bollywood.

Jee Le Zara is directed by Farhan Akhtar and also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
