This is not the first time that there have been rumours
According to reports, Mia Khalifa might be one of the contestants on Bigg Boss OTT 2.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of the reality show, which will see Salman Khan take over hosting duties from Karan Johar.
The entrants are always of interest and reports have circulated that Mia Khalifa has been approached.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the former adult film star and Raj Kundra had been approached for the show around the same time.
While there has been no development on the rumours, fans stated that if Mia entered the Bigg Boss OTT house, television rating points would skyrocket.
This is not the first time that there have been rumours of Mia entering Bigg Boss.
In 2015, there was speculation that she would be a part of Bigg Boss 9, prompting the influencer to angrily shut down the rumours.
She tweeted at the time: “Let’s get something clear: I am never stepping foot in India, so whomsoever said I have ‘shown interest’ in being on Bigg Boss should be fired.”
In the past, Bigg Boss has had contestants from the adult industry.
The reality show made headlines when it announced that ex-adult star Sunny Leone would enter Bigg Boss 5, a time when she was coming to the end of her porn career.
There were also reports that British male star Danny D might be entering the 12th season.
Suggesting he would consider it, he said:
“I don’t know about my being in the show. I have my manager to look after the details.
“I have heard them talking about the show but I’m unsure if it was Bigg Boss or Big Brother.
“I will say yes to Bigg Boss 12 only if Mahika promises that she will take care of me inside the house and keep me entertained throughout. Then, I will think about it.”
Despite the rumours of Mia Khalifa being approached for Bigg Boss OTT 2, it would likely be a wildcard appearance as the contestants have been announced.
Contestants include Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui, television actress Jiya Shankar and Chotti Bahu star Avinash Sachdev.
The show also provided glimpses of three additional contestants: a YouTuber, an actor and a viral sensation.
The trio gave intros but their faces were not revealed.
There is the belief that the YouTuber is Armaan Malik, who is married to two women and got them both pregnant at the same time.
It is also reported that the viral sensation is Indian Matchmaking‘s Sima Taparia.
But the surprise contestants will likely not be revealed until June 17, 2023, when the show premieres.
