Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan got engaged to her boyfriend Nupur Shikhare in Mumbai on November 18, 2022.
The pictures from the engagement ceremony are going viral on social media.
In the pictures, Ira Khan is seen wearing a gorgeous red gown, while her fiancé Nupur Shikhare is seen in a black tuxedo.
Aamir Khan, in the viral pictures, clicked while arriving for the ceremony is seen in a kurta with matching dhoti.
The engagement ceremony was attended by Ira’s mother Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan and grandmother Zeenat Hussain.
Others who were present include Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sunita Gowariker, Akshara Haasan, Vijay Varma, Sona Mohapatra, Gulshan Devaiah, and others.
Nupur Shikhare, a celebrity fitness trainer, proposed to Ira Khan in September 2022 at one of his cycling events in Italy.
They shared a video of the proposal on Instagram and captioned it:
“Popeye: She said yes (smiling face with hearts and red heart emojis).
“Ira: Hehe (smiling face, face with hand over mouth emojis) I said yes.”
A day after the engagement, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare were seen flaunting their rings.
Ira took to her Instagram Story to share a video clip in which she excitedly shares a glimpse of their engagement rings.
In the video, she can be seen saying that her makeup isn’t off even a day after the ceremony.
She then shows both of their rings to her fans.
Ira’s ring has a diamond in the centre, while Nupur can be seen wearing a simple band on his ring finger.
Sharing the video clip, she tagged her fiancé Nupur and wrote: “My favourite place in the world is next to you.”
Ira also shared a few inside pictures from their engagement ceremony.
One of the pictures shows the couple showing their rings to each other at the ceremony.
Further, a video from the engagement ceremony is going viral on social media and it shows Aamir Khan dancing to the popular song ‘Papa Kehte Hai’ from his 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
Mansoor Khan, who was also part of the 1988 film, also joined him, while Ira Khan cheered on for both of them.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan recently announced a break from film for a year and a half to spend time with his family.
