Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s engagement party was held on January 19, 2023.
The grand event was attended by film and sports celebrities among others.
The ring bearer for the ceremony was the family’s golden retriever.
Anant Ambani’s older sister Isha Ambani Piramal announced the surprise.
The video of the dog being the ringbearer has gone viral on social media.
In the video, Isha is announcing: “It seems we have a missing ring, but I think we have a surprise ring bearer.
“Can we please have our ringbearer come up?”
The camera showed the family’s pet dog being brought by an employee.
The dog, with the ring attached to its neck with a bright red ribbon, ran to the stage where Anant and brother Akash Ambani removed the ring.
Another video of the Ambani family dancing their hearts out to a personalised version of the ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ track from Badhaai Ho is also going viral.

In the video, the entire Ambani family including Isha Ambani, Anand Piramal, Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Shloka Mehta and Aakash Ambani are seen performing for the newly-engaged couple.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant were engaged in a traditional ceremony that included Gujarati rituals like Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi.
Radhika is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare.
In June 2022, the Ambani family hosted a grand Arangetram ceremony after Radhika completed her classical dance training.
Several Bollywood stars including Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and more arrived in style at the event.

Although Shah Rukh Khan tried to keep the shutterbugs away, he was snapped entering ‘Antilia’ in a traditional black outfit.
On the other hand, Aryan Khan posed with his mother in an all-black suit.
Gauri Khan dazzled in a silver lehenga.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh turned heads as they walked in hand-in-hand for the engagement ceremony.
The Piku actor was seen in a red saree with a sleek bun, and Singh opted for a navy blue shimmery asymmetrical sherwani.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, along with her daughter Aaradhya, also waved at the shutterbugs stationed outside ‘Antilia’.
The mother-daughter duo opted for ethnic outfits.
Meanwhile, the guest list also included Shreya Ghoshal, John Abraham, and Neetu Kapoor, among others.
