Indian Man kills Wife while Daughter visits Friend’s House

A police case has been registered against an Indian man after he killed his wife at their home.

The incident happened in the Palam Vihar area of Gurgaon, Haryana.

The woman was found badly injured and was rushed to hospital, however, she died on the way.

Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Tara Devi while her husband has been named as Vijay Kumar.

It was revealed that the victim was beaten to death following an argument. There were no witnesses as their daughter had been visiting a friend.

Officers explained that Vijay and Tara tied the knot in a love marriage. They went on to have a daughter who is currently in the seventh grade.

Even though they had a love marriage, their relationship began to go downhill as Vijay suspected that his wife was having an affair.

Whenever he confronted her with the allegations, she furiously denied it which would lead to arguments.

The couple frequently quarrelled with each other over the matter.

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, the daughter went to her friend’s house and stayed there for the night.

The next morning while the daughter was still at her friend’s house, Vijay confronted his wife and accused her of having an affair.

A row ensued and it soon turned violent when the Indian man started beating his wife.

Police believe that if their daughter was at the house, he would not have hit Tara.

Vijay continued hitting Tara, leaving her severely injured. During the assault, he struck Tara over the head numerous times with a metal object.

Locals could hear Tara screaming. They gathered outside the house but could not help as the door was locked.

Following the attack, Vijay ran out of the house, leaving the door open. Locals entered and took the injured woman to the hospital, however, she died before she could reach the hospital.

The police were called and sent Tara’s body for a post-mortem.

Meanwhile, a murder investigation was launched.

Assistant Superintendent Harmesh Singh is leading the investigation. He said that the accused moved to Gurgaon but admitted that they do not yet know where he is originally from.

There had been reports stating that Vijay had been arrested but police confirmed that the suspect is currently on the run.

Raids are being conducted to locate his whereabouts and to arrest him.
