Indian Groom leaves Wife 1 Hour after Wedding

After just one hour of being married, an Indian groom seemed to have had second thoughts and left his wife.

The strange incident happened in a village in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

It was reported that the groom fled during the Vidaai while his unaware wife sat in the car, preparing to live with her new husband and in-laws.

The 19-year-old woman said she met Golu at the hospital.

In September 2022, the young woman’s mother became unwell and was taken to a hospital in Samastipur for treatment.

While at the hospital, she met Golu, a medication compounder at the hospital.

The pair became friends and began speaking to each other on the phone.

Their frequent phone calls lead them to grow closer to each other.

Golu soon began visiting his lover in secret at her house during the night. He visited her regularly over a six-month period.

On the night of March 27, 2023, Golu went to meet his lover.

However, their secret relationship was exposed when the woman’s family members discovered the pair in a locked room.

The family members caused a ruckus, resulting in neighbours turning up at the house to see what was going on.

As they defended their relationship, the couple spoke about how much they loved each other.

This prompted the family members and locals to ask the lovers to get married.

Golu was told that if he does not marry the young woman, a police case will be lodged.

Following the threat, the man agreed to get married.

Everyone rushed to get preparations in order, with wedding accessories ordered in just three hours.

The impromptu wedding took place on March 28 without any issues.

But one hour after the ceremony, preparations were being made for the bride to go and live with her in-laws. Her family were making the arrangements.

Meanwhile, the bride had made her way out of the venue and was sitting in the car.

Guests gathered around the vehicle, ready to wave the newlyweds off.

But unbeknown to them and the bride, the Indian groom had fled the scene.

His absence was soon noticed and family members began searching for him without any success.

Golu’s whereabouts are still unknown and it is believed that while he loved the woman, the pressure to marry her is the only reason why he did so.
